Rimini is renowned throughout the world thanks to its warm hospitality and its successful and professional tourism, conference and expo trades industry.

 
There is also a Rimini which is less known, nevertheless fascinating: a town full of history, art and tradition surrounded by extremely beautiful countryside. Roman, Medieval and Renaissance heritage, links between the local Malatesta nobility and eastern Byzantine and Islamic cultures: two thousand years of history have left Rimini endless examples of monuments and works of art of great value.
Coming closer the present day, Rimini can also boast the fact that it is the birthplace of the great Federico Fellini. He often referred to Rimini in his films, where he transformed the culture and places of his childhood, cradle of intense emotions, memories and dream-like visions.
The scriptwriter of films by Fellini and Antonioni, poet Tonino Guerra, is also from this zone.

 

Close by the town, the surrounding hills are the home of art treasures and culinary traditions, vineyards and olive groves producing wonderful wines and oil. A "Wine and Flavour" Road helps visitors discover these wonderful secrets.

10 km. from Rimini, the Republic of San Marino (the oldest in the world) stands out against the horizon with the profile of its turrets over 2000 feet above the Adriatic. Moreover, there is the castle of Gradara, famous for the story of Paolo and Francesca, and the fortress of San Leo, in which Cagliostro was imprisoned.

In the evening, Rimini and Riccione (also well-known for its boutiques) will open the doors of their numerous trendy venues, with something to suit every taste.
